MS "Gotthard" — Ship Interior

Date:
2003

Interior design for MS "Gotthard", a passenger ship on Lake Lucerne.

During this general revision all of the ship's internal constructions (buffets, restrooms, staircases, crew and service rooms) were replaced. Attention was put on state-of-the-art and barrier-free spaces, while maintaining the relationship with the exterior design dating from the late 60s and early 70s.

The new interior features a panoramic view through a uninterrupted line of windows on both decks (achieved by placing all services in a central block), skylights as well as a wooden floor and furniture in the 1st class on the upper deck. The interior offers 290 seats.

Work on MS "Gotthard" was carried out together with partner Gabriele Frei Friedrich, Architekt.
